Rasawala Bateta Nu Shaak

 Ingredients

4 potatoes boiled

2 roma tomatoes

1 green chili

1 tablespoon oil

Mustard seeds

Cumin seeds

1/2 tsp turmeric 

1 tsp dhana jeers

1 tsp red chili(if it is hot chili, omit the green chili)

1 tsp salt

Small amount of gaur

Ketchup 1 tsp

2.5 cups water


Method

1) Chop boiled potatoes into cubes. Dice tomatoes and green chili.

2) Place pot on medium flame, add oil, then mustard and cumin seeds followed by green chili and tomatoes. Add masalas and salt. If red chili powder is hot, please omit placing green chili. Let cook for about 3 minutes until tomatoes are mushy. Then add 2.5 cups of warm water and bring to a simmer. Add ketchup and gaur.

3) Once comes to a simmer, has about half a potato and add to mixture to thicken gravy. Stir well and add the diced potatoes.

4) Continue to simmer until the gravy thickens(about 5 minutes) and water should reduce.
