Sabudana Khichri

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sabudana
  • 1/2 medium potato
  • Cumin seeds
  • 1 small green chili
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • Roasted peanuts
  • Cilantro
Method
1) Wash sabudana with cold tap water until water clear.  Soak sabudana in equal parts water(1/2 cup water) for at least 6 hours or overnight

2) In pan on medium heat, place oil, add cumin seeds, then green chili followed by potato. If boiled, let cook for about 1 minute. If not boiled, let potato cook and cover lid until done.

3) Now add sabudana and about 1/2 teaspoon of salt and stir until sabudana pearls become translucent then turn off stove. 

4) Garnish with cilantro and add roasted peanuts if desired.
