CHEESY INSTANT POT PASTA

Ingredients

Pasta- 16 oz
Vegetables optional
Garlic- 4-6 cloves
Cheese of your choice
Mustard- 2 teaspoons
Paprika- 1 teaspoon
Salt-1 teaspoon
Water- 4-4.5 cups
Oil/Butter
All purpose flour- 2 tablespoons
Whole milk- 1.5 cups 





1) Place 4 to 4.5 cups of water in instant pot and add 2 teaspoons mustard, 1 teaspoon paprika, and 1 teaspoon salt and mix. Add pasta to water. Water should just about cover all noodles. Pressure cook high for 4 minutes followed by quick release of steam. 

2) While cooking in instant pot, make milk mixture on stove. Place butter or olive oil followed by chopped garlic, crushed red peppper, and veggies you may want to add(eg, onions, tomatoes, baby spinach, broccoli, etc). May add herbs such as oregano or basil. Once cooked, on side of pan, add butter and about 2 tablespoons of flour and mix well. Once mixed, add about 1.5 cups of milk and mix together with veggies. 

3) Open instant pot following quick release of steam and add milk mixture followed by cheese and mix well.  Enjoy!
