Orange Tofu


Ingredients:

  • 1 box tofu approximately 16 to 19 Oz
  • Bell peppers of choice 2 to 3
  • Onions 2
  • Ginger to taste
  • Garlic to taste
  • Green onions for garnishing



Bowl Ingredients:

  • Three tablespoons of water
  • 4 teaspoons of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • One to two tablespoons of Sambal chili garlic sauce
  • Zest of one orange
  • Orange juice of one orange or two to three 2 to 3 clementines
  • 2 tablespoons of orange juice
  • One tablespoon of white wine vinegar

  1. In a bowl, whisk together water and cornstarch, once smooth, add all other bowl ingredients and whisk together, keep aside.
  2. In a pan, add oil and cubed tofu, one starts turning golden brown, place on side of pan & start sauteing green peppers along with onions with ginger and garlic. Once all the ingredients are sauteed to taste, add whisked mixture and mix.
  3. Garnish with green onions and enjoy
