Falafel Burger
Ingredients
2 cups chickpeas soaked overnight
8 cloves of garlic
Green/hot pepper to taste
Two medium-sized onions
Cilantro, mint, parsley
Baking soda
Lemon
Salt
Cumin powder
1. In a food processor, food process soaked chickpeas to breadcrumb consistency. Empty into bowl. Now, food process onions and garlic, add green chili, cilantro, parsley, mint leaves and food process.
2. Mix all ingredients in bowl, add cumin powder to taste as well as 2 -3 tablespoons of olive oil and one tablespoon of lemon juice. Place in the refrigerator for about 20 to 30 minutes.
3. Take out from refrigerator, add one tablespoon of baking soda and salt to taste. Add 2-3 tablespoons of all purpose powder if needed to make appropriate consistency. Make into patties and place on grill and cook both sides.
