Jeera Rice

Ingredients:
Rice (1 cup)
Water (2 cups)
Jeera (cumin seeds)
Butter
Ghee
Cilantro, Curry leaves, Mint - optional



1. Soak 1 cup rice for about 20 minutes
2. Take a pot and place on low flame, add a little bit of butter and ghee, once warmed add cumin seeds (you may add cilantro, mint leaves, curry leaves to your liking). Then add 2 cups of water.
3. Once water starts boiling, add the rice. Cook uncovered until the water is almost gone; then cover with lid and lower the heat further. Turn off flame in about three to five minutes.
